Evan Bortzfield

I grew up in South Jersey with a house full of art and furniture.  My grandfather was a prominent illustrator during the illustration golden age, and my father was a furniture building hobbyist.  The influence of being constantly surrounded by productions of creativity helped create a healthy interest in many creative hobbies including music, cooking, and later woodworking.

I studied under Albert DiBartolomeo in his shop located in the Northern Liberties section of Philadelphia. Following my time with Albert I opened my first shop in Alameda, CA and then relocated to my new location back in South Jersey. During the course of my time woodworking I have graduated from using mostly hand tools to a (nearly) fully functioning shop that would make Norm Abrams from The New Yankee Workshop proud.

Thank you for taking the time to view my work.  Stay tuned for more work from the bench.
